“ Here at SCLN, we empower leaders—and what we found was the Kelly empowered us! Kelly’s passion and commitment to excellence is always on full display and serves as a beacon for those who want to make a difference in our community. “ Best,

Any comment about Kelly has to begin with the meeting at the Hilton when we were meeting with prospective students and parents. Even though we had about 50 people in the room, Kelly and her parents were my targets!! Obviously based on her high school record, all colleges and universities were waiting for her to decide that they were her first choice. I could tell from her non-verbal behavior that Drake University was not her first choice but I was determined to change her mind before I left that room!!!! Kelly’s parents were on my side and eventually, and Drake was her choice. What a career Kelly had at Drake University!!!! The faculty was always impressed with her work and those of us who were working with student leaders couldn’t find enough time to keep up with Kelly. When she graduated, people stood in line to offer Kelly employment. When we had our first African-American reunion in the history of Drake University, she was the unanimous choice to lead the planning group. Kelly will always be remembered at Drake as one of our best. I wish her the best on her new venture.

Kelly is a dedicated, passionate and focused executive. She is someone you want on your team and works effectively with people from the boardroom to the community and with individuals at all levels in an organization.I watched firsthand her commitment to addressing such issues as disparities in healthcare.

“I met Kelly Redmond after she was accepted into a emerging leader program entitled, America’s Leaders of Change. I was given the opportunity through my position at Walmart to be the led corporate partner, and simultaneously walk in my calling as an intercessor. What a blesseth privilege! The sponsored program targeted up and coming leaders from across the United States – those that were already movers and shakers and destined to make a greater impact. Our dream was to identify and invest in the next generation change agents. We found 170 of them – phenomenal women and people of color. Kelly was one of them. I was privileged to spend one on one “sister” time with Kelly. What struck me as most compelling was our kindred spirits. I love the combination of humility and strength, and find it pleasantly POWERFUL! It has been a privilege to watch her launch out on nothing but faith, a God given dream, and the gifts given to her. During this journey, I have seen her pushed to the wall and challenged whether or not to move forward. The clarion call of Martin Luther King has echoed out to her “the fierce urgency of now”. The scriptural directive, “faith without works is dead” has guided her journey and been a demonstration of faith in action.
She is yet another witness that a man’s gift will and has to make room for him, in this case her! Perhaps what is best of all – – she will help and invest in others”.
